New Partnership with Imubit advances AI-driven Process Optimisation in Cement Manufacturing
Imubit’s advanced AI-powered soft sensors will complement Fuller’s industry-leading ECS/ProcessExpert® (PXP) advanced process control system, delivering enhanced real-time optimisation
A new partnership will combine Fuller Technologies’ industry-leading ECS/ProcessExpert® (PXP) advanced process control system with Imubit's AI-based soft sensor technology to address one of the cement industry's biggest challenges: the 'blind spots' in real-time process data created by delayed laboratory results and the harsh operating conditions that limit physical sensor placement.

Addressing the limitations of traditional data
The cement industry faces mounting pressure to improve energy efficiency, reduce carbon emissions, and maintain consistent product quality. Advanced process control solutions can enhance these critical metrics; however, such systems are often constrained by a lack of real-time data. Traditional laboratory testing and physical instrumentation, while essential, provide delayed or intermittent data that limits optimisation potential. There are also locations where placing physical sensors is challenged due to the extreme conditions they would face, such as inside a kiln.
These limitations can create ‘blind spots’ in process control. For example, suppose your clinker's free lime content is drifting out of specification. You won't know about this until the laboratory results come back, meaning you may have already produced off-spec material. Similarly, if a physical sensor fails or needs calibration, you lose that critical input for optimisation entirely. It is these limitations of traditional data that the partnership between Fuller and Imubit will address.
The partnership will focus on the deployment of three key parameters: free lime content, Blaine/fineness, and kiln inlet oxygen levels. By providing real-time predictions of these parameters, Imubit’s AI-based soft sensor technology will enable PXP to operate with unprecedented precision, empowering cement plants to achieve greater quality consistency, improved energy efficiency, and enhanced sustainability outcomes.
Available for new PXP installations and seamless upgrades
Fuller will serve as the primary customer interface, managing sales, deployment, service, and support for the combined solution. The solution is available for all new PXP installations, and plants already operating on the latest version of PXP software can seamlessly upgrade to access these advanced capabilities - ensuring our global customer base benefits fully from the new partnership.
