There are 3 grinding roller assemblies inside the ATOX mill, grinding the material against the grinding table. This latest and well proven design incorporates 45°wear segments and clamps. The wear segments are still reversible, and as standard made of High chromium alloyed white cast iron or Hi-Chrome. They will become the new standard for ATOX mills but it is possible to convert 30°roller hubs to 45°design. The conversion can be done without removing the rollers from the mill.

REPRINT from International Cement Review magazine, MARCH 2024 - As a key step in the decarbonisation of its cement plant operations, Ireland-based Mannok Cement has installed a FUELFLEX® Pyrolyzer combustion system which enables the producer to burn up to 100 per cent alternative fuels in the calciner while reducing its NOx emissions. The next obvious step for Mannok was to upgrade its coal dosing system to reduce the amount of coal going into the preheater to an absolute minimum without sacrificing flexibility.

Due to high alternative fuel (AF) use at Schwenk Zement KG’s Mergelstetten plant, a solid fuel feed system that could cope with highly variable feed rates was needed. The plant had been using two Pfister weighfeeders to achieve the required flexibility but recently upgraded one of these with FEEDflex. Now the plant gets the same performance with only one weighfeeder.
